Twenty-two years old, bright-eyed and fresh out of college, could there be a better time to travel the world?
I left my seaside hometown of Stonington, Connecticut just over a month ago. I take buses, trains, and cars and I stay in hostels and at campsites. I thumb my nose at plans and tourist traps. Somewhere between New Orleans and San Diego the stress of life just melted away.
Really it's not so hard, just so long as I keep saying "Yes!" to whatever catches my interest. I'm easily distracted by the sounds of a busy street or the smells of a curbside vendor. I'm quickly convinced to join new friends on an impromptu bike ride around Berkley, a drive to the oldest town and bar in the Arizona desert, or a ghastly, ghostly Zombie Walk through the streets of Tucson.
Most importantly, I'm constantly recording my experiences through words, pictures, sounds, and art. The depth, variety, and generosity of the world impresses and inspires me on a daily basis.
